Good morning. Let’s basketball.
We have an NBA trade demand!
Good morning. Markieff Morris is mad as heck and he’s not going to take it anymore.
SCHEDULE TIME! The NBA will reveal its 2015-16 regular season schedule at 6 p.m. ET on NBA TV and NBA.com. Logistiphiliacs of the world, unite!
WELL ... BYE: Markieff Morris, angered over how he feels he and his twin Marcus have been treated in Phoenix, has demanded a trade. In fact, he’s more or less guaranteed that he’ll be traded before camp open in six weeks. He claimed the Suns have been unprofessional in their dealings with the Morris twins, though it’s not totally clear in what way.
RULE NO. 1 OF THE NBA: Don’t piss off LeBron James. The Cavaliers are flirting with violation of that rule in regards to how their handling Tristan Thompson’s restricted free agency.
WE’LL MISS YOU, EB: Elton Brand announces his retirement. My favorite Elton Brand was definitely Clippers-era Elton Brand, with Corey Maggette, Chris Kaman and Cat Mobley. That 2006 playoff run was really fun. Then he stabbed Baron Davis in the front and sparked Philly’s downward spiral.
AHAHAHA: Frank Kaminsky’s roster photo!
MELO STRIKES AGAIN! Most underrated part of Carmelo Anthony’s game is his ability to son the hell out of trolls on the internet.
DREAMS IN SACRAMENTO: Interesting piece on the expectations surrounding Sacramento’s arena project.
WILLIE SCARY-STEIN: James Herbert talks about Willie Cauley-Stein’s serious potential.
THE ETHICIST WE NEED: God bless Jon Bois for speaking truths about, uh, selfie sticks.
Happy Wednesday. See you next time.
