The DeAndre Jordan hits just keep on comin’

Good morning. We have that and more in Wednesday’s NBA newsletter.

Good morning. Let’s basketball.

WELP: The Clippers pitched a $200,000 Lexus endorsement to DeAndre Jordan during their free agent meeting with him. That’s illegal! It’s considered a violation of the salary cap for teams to arrange outside endorsements for players. (Yes, this makes Michael Jordan’s ownership of a franchise hilarious.) So the NBA fined the Clippers $250,000.

THE NEW STYLE: Jason Patt argues that Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is worth $52 million over four years even if he can’t shoot. Defense is important too!

THE NBA HAS A DANCER PROBLEM, TOO: Jezebel explores what it takes to get one of the lowest paying jobs in the country that involves greeting rich folks and dancing for them.
