Good morning. Let’s basketball.
Stephen Curry learned a new trick
Good morning. We have that and more in Tuesday’s NBA newsletter.

STEPHEN CURRY IS A GOD AMONG MEN, PART XIV: Let’s watch Steph Curry stick a double behind-the-back pass in Draymond Green’s breadbasket. Alternate angle!

PROK SPEAKS: Prokhorov gave a thorough press conference on Monday after dumping King and Lionel Hollins. He hopes the Nets will be championship contenders next year. That said, that wild statement seems overblown in the reaction to the press conference -- it’s the one outrageous line he made. The more interesting things to me: he said they’ll look for certain types of players who can handle the pressure of New York in the future, and that they’ll need to remain courageous to turn down opportunities.
WELP: Ken Berger reports that the Pelicans appear to be moving toward hiring Joe Dumars as the team’s new basketball boss, either above GM Dell Demps or as his replacement. Here’s a breakdown of why this may or may not make sense for New Orleans.
MORNING TIP: David Aldridge’s awesome weekly column leads with the Kings’ chances of making the postseason.
FASCINATING: Britt Robson talked Xs and Os with Sam Mitchell for an hour. It’s well worth your time.
I’M NOT SURE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT WORD MEANS: The Sixers will retire Dolph Schayes’ No. 4 jersey this season. Nerlens Noel will continue to wear No. 4.
TONIGHT TONIGHT: Your NBA TV doubleheader features Bulls-Bucks and Pelicans-Lakers. League Pass has some good options, too, including Spurs-Pistons, Mavericks-Cavaliers and Celtics-Knicks.
Happy Tuesday. See you next time.
