Vince Carter is the oldest player in the NBA, and he’s still got it
Carter could join an elite group if he keeps this production up.

In normal human years, 39 is considered middle-aged. But Vince Carter is no normal human being.
Ten games into his 19th NBA season, Carter, the league’s elder statesman, is still half-man, half-amazing. He’s averaging 10.4 points (on a cool .474 shooting from the field) and 4.2 rebounds per game on a 5-5 Memphis Grizzlies squad that’s just rebounding from injuries to its starting lineup.
V.C. is the oldest player in NBA history to score 20 points in a game, edging out Michael Jordan, who did it three times. And if he keeps his production up, Carter could join Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, Robert Parrish, Karl Malone, and Jordan as the only players age 39 or older to average at least 10 points and four rebounds in a season.
If you need a pick-me-up, here’s a video of primetime Vinsanity rocking rims in his younger days.
We’ll never have another Vince Carter.
