We’re sleeping on the Cavaliers again
It’s week 2 of the podcast that loves you back.

The Drive & Kick podcast with Paul Flannery and John Gonzalez is back for Week 2 of the NBA season. It’s barely been seven days but it feels like we’ve already had a season’s worth of material.
Among the topics of discussion:
- The fallout from the opening night anthem fiasco in Philly after the 76ers denied a woman the ability to perform in a “We Matter” jersey. Gonz shares some of his reporting on the incident, including the internal machinations that led to the decision.
- Back on the hardwood, we question whether the Warriors are in any kind of serious trouble and if we should even be questioning it in the first place.
- The Cavs, though, the Cavs are really good. I’m staying on the LeBron for MVP bandwagon until the wheels fall off.
- Russell Westbrook’s ungodly usage rate, Dame Lillard’s brilliance, and the sad tale of Anthony Davis.
Be sure to listen to our season-opening podcast, as well. Yay basketball.
