The San Antonio Spurs retired Tim Duncan’s jersey on Sunday, raising it into the rafters while his teammates and other member of the Spurs talked about their favorite memories. Here it is!
Tim Duncan can’t stop himself from smiling at his jersey retirement ceremony
This is a great ceremony.

Naturally, the ceremony started at 10 p.m. ET opposite the Cowboys playing on Sunday night, and Duncan looked like he was sitting in timeout.
But it was an incredible ceremony, with Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Gregg Popovich and Duncan’s Wake Forest coach Dave Odom all talking about their favorite memories of the fantastic player. In particular, Parker and Ginobili spent time one-upping their descriptions of Duncan’s superstardom.
Popovich promised not to tear up, nearly did anyway, and closed by saying this about Duncan.
And there was this hug, where we all probably started tearing up.
Here’s everything that Popovich said about Duncan.
And, naturally, there’s always that one dude.
Tony Parker had a wonderful moment talking about Duncan.
And here’s Manu Ginobili’s story, where Duncan wouldn’t stop calling him after a terrible loss.
And of course, the Spurs have been thanking Tim Duncan for a while now — every time they go out to dinner on the road, according to Pop.
Duncan is one of the greatest to ever play, and this ceremony was totally fitting.
