Having an open shot and just deciding to take it instead of waiting to run the clock down is such a Spurs and Kawhi move, to be honest. Kawhi had the open shot, and a good one! It made sense to take it, rather than taking a contested one after running the clock down. Kawhi means business, and he knew he’d help make sure San Antonio got a stop on the other end.
