Good morning. Let’s basketball.
George Karl should probably stay off the internet for a while
Good morning. We have that and more in Friday’s NBA newsletter.

ENJOY THE SHOW: Zito Madu is in favor of Stephen Curry being disrespectful to opponents, because it’s way more entertaining than cold competence.
WHEN THE GRASS IS CUT ... I mentioned George Karl’s book on Thursday. The NBA players mentioned in those lines published by the New York Post responded. Kenyon Martin was, to say the least, not pleased. As I said a day ago, this book will sell some copies at the cost of Karl’s legacy and reputation. We see that already.

THE STEVE KERR STORY: Brilliant, detailed deep dive into Steve Kerr by John Branch at the New York Times. Read it.
DEAR LORD: Wesley Johnson single handedly gave up four points in three seconds at the end of Clippers-Spurs. L.A. still won, but sheesh!
SCORES GALORE ...
Celtics 109, Pacers 102
Warriors 117, Nets 101
Magic 95, Knicks 106
Lakers 107, Heat 115
Spurs 101, Clippers 106
CHOICES THE SEQUEL: Prized prospect Hamidou Diallo could play college basketball like right now or just chill until the NBA Draft. What he decides to do will have serious ramifications.
THE BIG SOUTH BEACH: Jorge Sedano on the Shaq era in Miami, in honor of the Heat retiring Big Aristotle’s jersey on Thursday. The 2006 Heat are wonderful if only because they are a reminder that Jason Williams has an NBA championship and Mike Bibby does not. Poor Mike Bibby.
SECOND CHANCE: Jason Lloyd on DeAndre Liggins getting a second chance in the NBA after a horrifying domestic violence attack in 2013 that resulted in only one minor conviction. This isn’t a tidy redemption story, and it really shouldn’t be. I think the Cavaliers have handled this appropriately, and I think Lloyd gives the story the nuance it requires.
NEXT UP: Twenty-eight teams play on Friday — and there are no games on Saturday. NBA TV has Thunder-Celtics at 7:30 p.m. ET and Mavericks-Clippers at 10:30. The best League Pass options are Rockets-Grizzlies at 8 and Raptors-Jazz at 9.
AND FINALLY: Dance your ass off, LeBron.
We’ll have a (short) special edition on Sunday and be back for real on Monday.
Be excellent to each other.
