Don’t look now but the Wizards have won seven of their last 10 games and that seven could have easily been eight if it wasn’t for an off-balance Thaddeus Young game-winner in Indianapolis last week. They’ve also won six straight at home and things seem like they may finally be clicking. The Wizards may be sitting in 10th in the East but they are only a half-game out of sixth place. The East is wide open with only one game separating the No. 6 seed and the No. 12 seed, and it’s a perfect time for the Wizards to move into a potential playoff spot.
NBA scores 2016: The Wizards may be on to something
The Wizards have won seven out of their last 10 games.

On a night where John Wall and Bradley Beal struggled to get going early, Otto Porter was fantastic. He scored the first six points of the game for the Wizards, finishing with 18 in the first half. He would go on to end the night with 32 points and 13 rebounds and lead the Wizards to a late December win over Milwaukee.
The answer to the following tweet is also Porter.
Wall ended the night with 18 points and 16 assists, including this gorgeous play.
James Harden is still dominating
Harden led the Rockets in a blowout win over the Suns with 32 points, five rebounds, and 12 assists.
The young teams show promise
Both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Orlando Magic had big wins on Monday night. The Timberwolves beat the Hawks, 104-90, but that game was not as close as the final score reflected. Karl-Anthony Towns had 22 points and 11 rebounds while going 8-of-8 from the field. It was even more impressive as it came on the second night of a back-to-back in which the Timberwolves played in their first Christmas Day game ever.
The Orlando Magic also came up big against the Memphis Grizzlies, winning 112-102, but again the game was never really that close. Aaron Gordon led the way with 30 points while seven different players scored in double-figures.
Monday’s best play
Randy Foye scored a total of three points on Monday night and all three of them came on this game-winner to beat the Charlotte Hornets.
