The Chicago BullsRajon Rondo will serve a one-game suspension due to “conduct detrimental to the team,” the team announced on Monday. Rondo will serve his suspension Monday night against the Trail Blazers.

Rondo had a “heated exchange” mostly directed at Bulls assistant coach Jim Boylen, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, in a game against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday where Rondo scored two points and committed five turnovers in a 107-82 loss. Rondo has reportedly apologized and accepted the aftermath of the situation.

Jerian Grant will start at point guard for the Bulls on Monday against Portland. Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said he met with Rondo on Sunday about the altercation, and other teammates were supportive of Rondo despite the suspension.

Rondo has played 17 games so far this season with Chicago, starting all 17. While he’s averaging 6.7 rebounds and 7.2 assists, Rondo’s 8.2 points is the lowest since his rookie season and his dreadful 43.6 true shooting percentage is the worst of his career.

This is hardly the first time Rondo has gotten in trouble with teams he plays for. Rondo was suspended one game last year for directing a gay slur at referee Bill Kennedy during a game, leading to Kennedy’s decision to reveal he’s gay shortly afterwards. Rondo was also dismissed from the Mavericks during the 2015 playoffs, with Rondo faking an injury and the team making the unprecedented decision to withhold his playoff shares. Rondo also has a long history of pissing off his coaches.

Rondo signed a two-year deal worth nearly $28 million this summer, although the second year is only partially guaranteed.
