Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson are back to launch bombs in the 2016 NBA 3-point Shootout

Reigning MVP Stephen Curry will defend his 3-Point Contest title at the 2016 All-Star weekend, leading a field of eight shooters.

Besides Curry, the event will be made up of Klay Thompson, James Harden, J.J. Redick, Chris Bosh, Khris Middleton, Kyle Lowry and Devin Booker.

In the 2015 3-Point Contest, Curry nailed 13 shots in a row and finished with 27 points en route to a decisive victory. This will be his fifth time participating in the contest and his third year as an NBA All-Star, starting in the Western Conference backcourt next to Russell Westbrook.

Bosh will make his first appearance in the 3-Point Contest at the age of 31. Bosh hadn’t taken more than 50 three-pointers prior to the 2012-13 season, but he’s averaging 4.3 attempts per game this year while shooting 36.6 percent on them.

Devin Booker is the first rookie to make the contest since Curry in 2010 and only the fourth overall, joining a list that also includes Kyle Korver in 2004 and Dennis Scott in 1991. Booker has made 51 of his 122 three-point attempts this season (41.8 percent).

The 3-Point Contest will take place during All-Star Saturday night, which kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on TNT. You can see the rest of the schedule for the weekend and the other All-Star participants right here.
