The Sacramento Kings are considering dismissing George Karl as head coach, according to multiple reports.
The Kings might fire George Karl, according to reports
Another Sacramento coach is on the hot seat.

The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Kings are "strongly weighing" firing Karl after an embarrassing defensive no-show against Brooklyn on Friday. That game led to DeMarcus Cousins telling reports that the players aren't entirely to blame for the lack of success the team has had of late, building on growing criticism of Karl's game plans and tactics.
USA Today's Sacramento-based Sam Amick reports that Kings management is "clearly weighing" a dismissal of Karl. Amick notes that Bobby Jackson, who works the Kings' official TV pre- and postgame shows as an analyst, openly called for Karl's dismissal on Friday.
Both Woj and Amick report that Kings franchise majority owner Vivek Ranadivé faces increasing pushback from minority owners over the team’s tumult, and may need to convince them soaking the remaining money on Karl’s deal is worth it.
ESPN's Marc Stein reports that if Karl is dismissed soon, the team would be unlikely to elevate assistant coach Nancy Lieberman to the lead chair. Corliss Williamson, who has close connections to several of the Kings' best players, including Cousins, is seen as a likely option.
The Kings are 21-29 and have lost six of their last seven. They are 3.5 games out of the No. 8 seed in the West.
