NBA Saturday: Raptors edge out Heat in OT, Spurs beat Thunder

The Golden State Warriors had a surprisingly tough time going up against the Phoenix Suns. It’s not that they haven’t struggled before, but they’re downright infallible at home.

But despite all that, Stephen Curry is clutch and will keep shooting three-pointers without even bothering to wait for the ball to go in the net.

San Antonio has now won 41 straight at home, including all 32 games this season.

The Thunder came charging back late in the second quarter with Durant, Westbrook and Kanter carrying the scoring load. They took control of the game but, just like the Spurs before, couldn’t create significant separation. They led by four at the half and two after three quarters, despite getting opportunities to get a more comfortable lead. A game between evenly-matched opponents predictably stayed close for most of the night.

Going to an NBA game is always a huge event. It’s definitely sports but it also features a lot of performances. If you take the game away, it might as well be a nightclub.

The Nuggets may have taken this concept a bit too literally when their power went out as the first half against the Washington Wizards was winding down. The power suddenly went off—well, most of it. What was left was a light above and the ads by the sideline. This created a purple hue that just screams party.

Saturday NBA primetime games are a big deal. They’re an even bigger deal when the Oklahoma City Thunder take on the San Antonio Spurs. This has the possibility of being a Western Conference finals preview!

These two are some of the best squads that the NBA has to offer, so it’s obvious that the intensity and focus entering a game should be at an-all time high as well.
