Good morning. Are you, like Kevin Durant, getting ready for another week of work work work work work? Alright, then. Let’s basketball.
Ben Simmons does not have March Madness
Good morning. We have that and more in Monday’s NBA newsletter.

MADNESS: College basketball will take over the public consciousness this week and beyond. Here’s the NCAA Tournament bracket and here’s our full coverage.
ROOK WEEK FINALE: Speaking of college, Ricky O’Donnell’s first mock draft of the year showed us what next week’s rookie class might look like. And it might be led by Brandon Ingram (who will be in the tourney) instead of Ben Simmons (whose season is over). Plus, check out all the Rook Week items you may have missed in our big ol’ index.
SCORES GALORE ...
CLE 114, LAC 90
IND 75, ATL 104
UTA 108, SAC 99
MIL 109, BKN 100
NYK 90, LAL 87
REAL FREAKY: In a world of absurd Giannis Antetokounmpo highlights, this fake pass to dunk combo is perhaps unbeatable.
IF IT COUNTS, IT COUNTS: Only the Lakers could give up a game-winning play this broken to the mediocre Knicks.
THE PLOT THICKENS AND TURNS SOUR: DeMarcus Cousins declared on Sunday that George Karl is to blame for his recent suspension. Things are going well. In response, Vlade Divac said that he loves DeMarcus Cousins, which is nice but doesn’t seem wholly relevant to the situation at hand.
CHEERLEADER LEBRON: LeBron was very excited for Kyrie Irving after a smooth three.
CHANGE YOUR FACE: Just your run of the mill Ricky Rubio game-winning three!
DAILY STEPH: Fires up a clutch three, turns around and sprints back down the court. When Nick Young does it, we meme. When Steph does it, we marvel. Plus on Friday in a revenge game, Steph did this to Damian Lillard and the Warriors stomped hard.
SO LONG, JOEY: Joey Crawford planned to retire at the end of the season. But his end of the season is now due to injury. He’s definitely one of the legends in NBA officiating, whether you like him or not.
ON THE AIR TONIGHT: We have a rare ESPN Monday doubleheader featuring Pistons-Wizards (8 p.m. ET) and Cavaliers-Jazz (10:30). There are lots of good games, though, including Mavs-Hornets, Bulls-Raptors, Grizzlies-Rockets and Blazers-Thunder.
Happy Monday. See you next time.
