NBA playoffs 2016: Complete schedule, scores, format and more

LeBron James mad the NBA Finals for a sixth consecutive season, and delivered on his promise by bringing a championship to Cleveland, leading the Cavaliers to a seven-game win over the mighty 73-win Warriors in the NBA Finals.

Cleveland beat Golden State in a rematch of the 2015 Finals, and did so after falling behind 3-1 in the series, with road wins in both Game 5 and Game 7.

Golden State set an NBA record with 73 regular season wins, and fought hard to return to the NBA Finals, overcoming a 3-1 deficit to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.

Both teams improved over last year, when Golden State captured its first NBA championship in 40 years with a six-game win over Cleveland. This year, both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are healthy, and all the Warriors did was improve from a 67-win NBA champion to setting an NBA record with 73 wins in the regular season.

Get ready for a fun NBA Finals, which began on June 2 and are televised on ABC.

The NBA playoffs consists 16 teams, with eight in each conference. They play best-of-seven series until the East and the West crown their champions. At that point, the two remaining teams square off in the NBA finals.
