Kobe Bryant ended a legendary career on a perfect note Wednesday night, scoring 60 points on 50 shots to lead the Lakers to a comeback win over the Utah Jazz at Staples Center. His post-game press conference was just as good.
Even Kobe Bryant’s final postgame press conference was classic
“Mamba out” and then some.
Following an instantly memorable address to the home crowd at center court -- “Mamba out!” -- Bryant met with reporters. He was once again in rare form:
“My kids actually saw me play like I used to play.”
“My legs are like, what are you, nuts? And I just throw the ball up and it goes in.”
He even gave the media a parting shot.
“I’ve liked MOST of you guys for my career. I’ve hated some of you guys for my career.”
What was Kobe thinking as he was leaving the court.
“Don’t trip.”
That was so much fun for everyone but the Jazz. Kobe, are you sure you want to retire?
