Game 1 couldn't have gone any better for the Heat. Behind 31 points from Luol Deng and 21 from Hassan Whiteside, the Heat shot an incredible 58 percent from the field and blew out the Hornets, 123-91. It was an impressive offensive showing from a team that at times has struggled generating good looks.

The question, of course, is what will the Hornets do in Game 2 to slow down the Heat's attack.
Charlotte finished the regular season with a defensive rating of 101.8, the ninth-best mark in the NBA. The Hornets are a good defensive team led by a smart coach in Steve Clifford. They’ll show up to Game 2 prepared and should make life more difficult for Miami.
The Hornets will also need more production from their role players if the plan on stealing home court advantage away from the Heat. Nicolas Batum had 24 points in Game 1, and Kemba Walker added in 19. But only one other Charlotte player, Al Jefferson, finished in double digits. That's not going to cut it with the way the Heat have been shooting.
