The Warriors now have 2 home losses. ‘WHAT ARE THOSE,’ the Spurs wonder

Good morning. We have that and more in Wednesday’s NBA newsletter.

Good morning. Let’s basketball.

DON’T YOU WANT ME: Paul Flannery knocked his long Isaiah Thomas profile out of the park, across the bay and into orbit. I was lucky enough to see the first couple years of I.T.‘s pro career up close, and while he’s not perfect, he’s an avatar for relentless effort in small packages that’s inspiring to so many. Also, he’s damn good. Read Paul’s piece, y’all.

FREE FALLIN’: The Warriors have lost a second straight home game, this one to the Wolves, who trailed by 17 in the second half but stormed back riding the great Shabazz Muhammad. Golden State now needs to sweep its final four games -- home-and-homes with the Spurs and Grizz -- to hit 73 wins. The Spurs, you might remember, are undefeated at home. They meet in Oakland on Thursday.

SPEAKING OF THE WOLVES ... Be sure to check out Rob Mahoney’s deep dive into Andrew Wiggins’ development in the middle of Minnesota’s youth group.

CONGRATULATIONS: The 76ers celebrated Villanova’s men’s national title by winning Game No. 10 of the season, thus ensuring they don’t match the worst ever record in an 82-game season, held by ... the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers.

IN TRIBUTE TO ALLEN IVERSON: Kawhi Leonard has the braids and he has the crossover as sick as the dude with motion sickness on the teacup ride. He’s also out here nailing game-winning jumpers on the baseline. Ask not why but Kawhi not?

FISTFUL OF RINGS: UConn beat Syracuse 82-51 for its fourth straight women’s Division I title. The line was like 26.5 points and it was too low! I’d say Geno Auriemma is a god but we all bow before Breanna Stewart, Morgan Tuck and Moriah Jefferson. I mean, literally, they knighted themselves after the win! I’m not gonna be the one to tell them that’s not legal.

THE BEST PLAYOFF MATCHUPS: Flanns and I talked out our preferred playoff matchups. JUST GIVE ME SPURS-WARRIORS.

DO IT FOR SAGES: NBA broadcasters wore crazy suits for Craig Sager on Tuesday.

PLAYOFF PICTURE:

SURE: Fans of Jeff Teague’s brief meme limelight last week ask the Hawks point guard to sign their sideways pizza boxes.

WHERE DID THE CURRY KIDS LEARN HOW TO PASS? Any of Dell’s old teammates can tell you for damn sure it wasn’t from dad. But both Steph and Seth dropped delicious no-look dimes on Tuesday night.

CROSSOVER APPEAL: Excellent Vann R. Newkirk II piece on Iverson’s pop culture legacy on occasion of his Hall of Fame election.

OH: The Knicks are reportedly strongly considering signing Kurt Rambis to a multi-year deal.

YES: Marcus Thompson is so damn good, and he nails this piece on the reaction to Stephen Curry’s innocuous, quiet quote about North Carolina’s screamingly vile discrimination law.

INTERESTING: The argument that the Spurs are so good because a) they have Tim Duncan and b) they have preserved Tim Duncan and others through strategic laziness.

DO IT: Help send Liberty Ballers to The Tournament with a click of the mouse. It’s Philly’s time!

ON THE AIR TONIGHT: ESPN has potential first-round preview Cavaliers-Pacers (7 p.m. ET) followed by Actual Critical Game Rockets-Mavs at 9:30. Potential playoff preview Thunder-Blazers is the only other game of note.

AND FINALLY: I can’t believe I’ve missed including this since the weekend, considering how it’s changed my life, but here’s the great Mark Hinog’s mashup of “Roundball Rock” and “I Love Kanye.” You’ll never hear the NBA on NBC theme the same way again ...

Happy Wednesday. See you next time.
