Russell Westbrook hit just seven of his 21 attempts from the field. Kevin Durant misfired on 20 of his 30 shots. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 51 points. On paper everything seemed to work against the Thunder in Game 1, and yet somehow they were still able to defeat the Warriors in Golden State -- something only two teams accomplished during the regular season -- by a score of 108-102 to steal home-court advantage away from the Western Conference's No. 1 seed.

The Warriors look to bounce back from a disappointing Game 1 loss.

How’d they pull off the upset? By taking away Curry’s driving lanes and forcing the Warriors to rely on one-on-one play. By turning the ball over just twice in the entire second half. By riding a monster third quarter from Russell Westbrook and getting a big jumper down the stretch from the struggling Kevin Durant.
But what has to have Warriors fans feeling frightened is that the Thunder were able to win Game 1 despite not playing their best basketball. What happens if Durant catches fire in Game 2? Golden State is going to need a bigger and tighter performance from Curry -- who coughed the ball up seven times in Game 1 -- in order to get back into this series.
If the Warriors get that, and figure out a way to keep the ball moving on offense, they should be able to exact some revenge on the Thunder for that Game 1 loss. But if Curry doesn’t revert back to full MVP form, and the Thunder’s size and length continues to give Golden State issues, well, those record 73 regular season wins won’t matter anymore.
