Cavaliers vs. Raptors 2016 live stream: Start time, TV schedule and how to watch Game 6 online

The Raptors need to win at home to stay alive and force a Game 7.

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

After two losses in Toronto, the Cavaliers looked once again like a dominant team in Game 5, blowing out the Raptors in Cleveland by 38 points, 116-78. Now they will be looking to continue to perform at the same level and close the series on the road in Game 6.

It wasn't surprising to see the Cavaliers win on Wednesday. After all, both teams have held serve at home. The way they controlled the matchup from the start, however, was not what anyone would have expected after two mediocre performances in Toronto. Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, who both struggled in the losses, played like the stars they are. The two combined for 31 first-half points and played a huge role in getting Cleveland the 31-point lead that would essentially end the game after just two quarters.

While both the stars and the role players performed well for the Cavaliers, it's hard to find anyone on the Raptors' roster who did. Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan came back to earth after a terrific Game 4 in which they combined for 67 points. They looked as overwhelmed by Cleveland's physicality as the rest of their teammates, accounting for seven of Toronto's 19 turnovers and struggling from the floor. It's not a secret that, for the Raptors to have a shot to advance, their backcourt has to play at a high level and that just didn't happen on Wednesday.

The good news is that Jonas Valanciunas is back. The seven-footer had been out with an ankle injury since Game 3 against the Heat in the conference semifinals. He logged 18 minutes off the bench in his first appearance in the series and scored nine points. He's still not fully healthy and Bismack Biyombo has done a great job in his absence, so he might not get the nod to start on Friday. Having him back, however, will help Toronto's depth greatly and will give them a post-up threat, which they have been lacking.

If Cleveland plays like it did in Game 5, it won’t matter who suits up for the Raptors. They proved that at their best they are simply the superior team. Toronto will have to once again draw strength from its home crowd and have standout performances from its stars to have a real hope of forcing a Game 7.
