Good morning. Let’s basketball.
LeBron has a timeshare in the NBA Finals
Good morning. We have that and more in Saturday’s NBA newsletter.

HOLD ON, WE’RE STAYING HOME: The Cavaliers said they would treat Game 6 like a Game 7, and they did. Cleveland whomped Toronto 113-87 to clinch the series. That means LeBron James is going to the Finals for the sixth straight year, a feat not done since the ‘60s Celtics (unless you count James Jones, in which case you are James Jones, related to James Jones or a pedant). King James got pretty emotional about the achievement. LeBron had 33-11-6, Kyrie Irving had 30-9 and Kevin Love had 20-12. These dudes are good.
So is Kyle Lowry, who finished his best season ever with 35 points in the loss. No matter what happens with DeMar DeRozan, Toronto will still have KLOE next year; they’ll be okay. They’ll also have really great fans, fans who LeBron honored after the game.
The Finals start Thursday. The Cavaliers’ opponent could be decided on Saturday.
CLASH OF THE TITANS: Everyone is expecting Saturday’s Game 6 in the Western Conference Finals to be an epic battle. Fingers crossed. The Thunder have their second match point against the Warriors; Golden State held on the first and are hoping to break OKC’s serve. Tennis analogies! That’s how hyped I am for this!
9 p.m. ET on TNT. Be there.
Jesus Gomez wrote that the Warriors abandoned their identity to win Game 5. I wrote that the Warriors are still on their heels despite the win.
THIS IS GOOD: Katie Nolan might be moving to 4-5 nights per week soon, report Michael McCarthy of The Sporting News. I like The Jay and Dan Show when I catch it, but beyond them and Nolan, FS1 is the underside of a compost pile.
Happy Saturday. See you next time.
