Nobody was supposed to be able to beat the Golden State Warriors after what they did in the regular season. They set the NBA record for wins in a single season, but after going up on the Cleveland Cavaliers 2-0 in the NBA Finals, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving fought back, and hard. They ultimately pushed the Warriors all the way to a Game 7, the most important game in either franchise’s history.

And then they broke them, winning Game 7 and netting their franchise’s first-ever NBA Championship. The Warriors were the team to deny James and the Cavaliers for the title in 2015. For two straight years, they’ve made it right to the edge of victory, and finally they have it.
