When LeBron James went to Miami, he always knew he would come back to Cleveland. He knew his hometown city deserved a championship. He knew he was the one who would bring them one.
James already has two NBA championship rings on his hand, but he was overcome with emotions moments after winning in Game 7. Can you blame him? This is the city he was born in, the city he grew up in, the city he learned to play basketball in, the city where he became a man and a superstar and started his career and maybe, just maybe, the city where he’ll retire, too.
James won it for Cleveland. It finally happened. What a night and what a series for the best player in the NBA. He earned this hug right here.
