The Sacramento Kings have traded veteran shooter Marco Belinelli to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for the No. 22 pick in Thursday's NBA Draft, reports The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski. The trade cannot be officially completed until July due to salary cap restrictions, Woj reports.
Kings trade Marco Belinelli to Hornets for No. 22 pick, per report
Sacramento sent its second-string shooting guard to Charlotte for a late first-round pick.

Belinelli signed a three-year, $19 million deal with the Kings a year ago as Sacramento attempted to build a deeper bench. But the Italian, who just turned 30 years old, shot just 31 percent from long range coming off two strong seasons in San Antonio.
Wojnarowski has also reported the Kings are looking at trading out of the No. 8 pick to gain future first-round selections. CSN Chicago’s Vinny Goodwill reported the Kings are trying to move up into the top six. Packaging Nos. 8 and 22 may get them there.
Charlotte was thought to be seeking to drop salary in advance of free agency as Nicolas Batum, Jeremy Lin and Marvin Williams will all be free agents on July 1. It's possible the Hornets have more deals in store.
