The 2016 NBA Draft is officially in the books, with a new group of rookies set to try and help their teams onto the next NBA Championship. Just a few days after the Cleveland Cavaliers were named NBA Champions for the first time, every team lined up to get a crack at the top young talent.

The Philadelphia 76ers had the top pick in the draft and they wound up using their pick on LSU forward Ben Simmons. The 76ers have been the worst team in the league for a long time and they hope Simmons can be their marquee franchise player.
The Los Angeles Lakers, who held the second overall pick, landed Brandon Ingram, a massive 6’9 swingman from Duke. Being a bad team is a new proposition for the Lakers, a team that is experiencing a lengthy rebuild after a long period of sustained success. They’re hoping Ingram can be just as valuable to them as the 76ers want out of Simmons.
