The Suns finished their second game in Mexico City this week with an upset win over the Spurs, 108-105. The Suns had previously lost to the Mavericks while in Mexico City earlier in the week but bounced back to beat the Spurs on Saturday night. Devin Booker and Kawhi Leonard led the way for each team, scoring 39 and 38 points respectively.
NBA scores 2017: Devin Booker scores 39 points, leads Suns over Spurs in Mexico City
Devin Booker scored 39 points in both games this week in Mexico City

The Spurs outplayed the Suns for most the game, but the Suns went on a 17-1 run late in the third and early in the fourth quarter led by none other than Booker. Booker, who is only 20 years old, was the star of the weekend in Mexico City, setting an NBA scoring record in Mexico for his 39-point output on two separate nights.
P.J. Tucker fouled Leonard late in the fourth quarter on a three-point shot which could have tied the game. Leonard only hit two of three free throws which allowed the Suns to hang on to their one-point lead. The Spurs were able to get the ball back and get Danny Green an open look with six seconds remaining, but he could not covert.
“Devin Booker does not want to leave Mexico. He’s averaging 39 points, so he wants to play Utah on Monday,” Suns coach Earl Watson said.
Lost in the shuffle was the fact that Leonard’s 38-points was actually a career high for him.
Dwyane Wade saved the Bulls in the fourth quarter
Vintage Dwyane Wade was at it again, scoring 17 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and leading the Bulls over the Pelicans 107-99. Wade shot 7-of-11 in the quarter, including four straight baskets to keep the Bulls ahead.
It should be noted that Jimmy Butler returned from his battle with the flu with an impressive 28 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, which is really impressive when you consider the following quote he had after the game:
Anthony Davis also had an impressive night in a loss for the Pelicans, finishing with 36 points and 14 rebounds.
