Carmelo Anthony trade rumors have exploded over the past 24 hours, so it’s interesting to see him play his best game of the season against the Hawks on Sunday.
Carmelo Anthony hit 2 game-tying shots while dropping 45 points
Anthony roasted the Hawks for as long as he was in the game.

Anthony put in a sensational performance, scoring 45 points on 18-of-36 shooting before fouling out in the game’s second overtime. With the Knicks trailing at the end of regulation, Anthony forced overtime with this incredible drive to the rim.
Anthony did the same thing to close out the first overtime and send the two teams to a second one.
After Anthony fouled out, Courtney Lee took his lead to nail a game-tying jumper at the end of the second overtime.
The game is going to a fourth overtime, incredibly.
Anthony’s season high had been 35 points. You can take his 45-point showing as a reminder of how good he can be for teams wanting to trade for him, or a declaration that he doesn’t want to leave New York. Either way, something had Anthony as motivated as we’ve seen in months on Sunday.
