In the midst of the most fascinating Most Valuable Player races in years, Paul Flannery and John Gonzalez debate who the real MVP is this year in this week’s Drive & Kick Podcast. Flanns has LeBron James, Gonz has James Harden. It’s really a five-player race and there are no wrong answers here, friends. Only more correct answers.

Interestingly, we both had the same players in our top five, but outside of the fifth spot we had minor disagreements on the order. Honestly, there’s a case to be made for any of the top four guys on our lists.

Also on the pod:

  • We run through various Paul Millsap trade scenarios. Make it happen, Raptors.
  • Briefly, Part I: Would you take the Wolves or Sixers roster if you were building from scratch? Flanns can’t believe this is a serious question, by the way.
  • Briefly, Part II: Is this the end for Rajon Rondo?
  • What did Flanns do on his break? Watch a 20-inch standard definition television and gorge on pork roll, egg, and cheese (aka the nectar of the gods).
  • Gonz tests Paul on what he missed while he was away. Turns out George Karl said some crazy-ish stuff.
