Paul George now has a signature shoe with Nike, and it has his own dang face in the sole. George — who gets his first shoe before players like Anthony Davis and Giannis Antetokounmpo — becomes the fourth active Nike-sponsored player with a shoe (along with LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving), and the 21st overall. Here’s what it looks like.

Does George look weird? It’s because that’s not an actual Paul George, but a photo of NBA 2K’s creation of Paul George. The 2K George will only be on this initial colorway, Nike confirmed to SB Nation, which makes sense. NBA 2K17 has Paul George as the cover athlete, so everyone is doubling down on George’s marketability.
Paul George debuted the signature shoe in London when the Pacers faced the Nuggets on January 12th.
The PG1 will sell for $110, per Nike’s press release. Adidas and Under Armour have been more and more competitive with Nike over the past year, which might be why Nike is introducing a new signature shoe athlete.
