The WNBA season just ended and I already miss Candace Parker’s no-look passes

I don’t wanna wait 7 months to watch Parker’s magical passes again.

The 2017 WNBA Finals finished in ridiculous fashion — which was honestly exactly what we all expected. Entering the final game of the season, the Lynx and Sparks were tied at 908-908 points apiece through 12 games. And game 13 did not disappoint, as the Sparks made a furious comeback in the final minute, only to have Maya Moore hit a dagger jumper to seal the game.

We’ve now had two straight seasons of Lynx-Sparks goodness. You’d think I’d be happy and on cloud nine about the success of the league — but no. As halftime of Game 5 hit, I started to get sad. My favorite thing in the entire WNBA is Candace Parker and her ridiculous passing skills and I was quickly realizing I was only going to get 20 more minutes of it until next May.

Parker is a unicorn big whose speed doesn’t match her frame. Nobody her size can handle the ball with the speed she does. That’s what makes her unique, impossible to guard, and a multiple-time Finals MVP. Parker is just different.

And now it’s going to be seven months until we can see it again. So this is my love letter to Parker and all of those ridiculous assists.

The one-handed outlet pass that was so good she started smiling as she threw it.

The countless times she found a teammate cutting to the basket. Parker will always find you and never leave you lonely.

Come on, this next one is so good, that I’m not even sure Alana Beard knew she was open.

The bounce pass THROUGH TRAFFIC. Listen, she’s a 6’4 forward bringing the ball up the court and literally threading the needle. I cannot.

This time she did it and the camera couldn’t even keep up. LOL.

The no-look pass with the Phantom Cam. You are welcome.

Another no-look. This is getting silly. I’m just rambling. And gushing.

And here, a montage of Parker’s passes. Watch it, set it to your saddest playlist, and count the days until the WNBA comes back.
