Dion Waiters hit back-to-back three-pointers, then slammed down a dunk in the closing minutes of the Heat’s 104-98 win over the Celtics, which ended not only Boston’s 13-0 comeback run, but also its 16-game winning streak. And it came in the most Dion Waiters way ever.
Dion Waiters ended the Celtics’ comeback, and their 16-game winning streak
He even “raised the roof” after a dunk. Hahaha

The Celtics were trailing by double digits for most of this one, but with Kyrie Irving on the bench, they finally broke through for the late-game comeback we’ve become accustomed to. Jayson Tatum’s defense created offense, and Terry Rozier was firing from deep. Boston’s done this in its previous three wins.
It was going to almost certainly happen again.
Then the Dion Waiters show begun.
Waiter’s first three
The first of his three signature shots had the luckiest bounce only Waiters could have pulled off. This one hit the top of the backboard and perfectly dropped.
That one hurts for Boston’s defense.
Waiters’ second three
After Al Horford missed a pair of free throws, the Celtics had Waiters dribbling in a panic.
That’s until he stepped back in the corner and launched the punch before the knockout throw that had Boston nervous.
Waiters’ dunk and dance
The Celtics drew this game to within five points, but Waiters was again able to separate himself — this time from Irving — and throw down a dunk that put this game out of reach.
Then he raised the roof afterwards. Hahahahaha
Waiters finished with 26 points on 11-of-24 shooting.
The Celtics’ streak is finally over at 16. What a run.
