Happy Thanksgiving friends and welcome to the Thanksgiving edition of B-Sides. It is no secret that the NBA is my favorite hobby and I’m thankful for it every day of the year, but that becomes especially true today. So let’s get to it. Here are the things I’m most thankful for the in NBA so far this season.

1. Kevin Durant for allowing the real Russell Westbrook to shine

Ever since Kevin Durant decided to leave, we’ve only seen the best Russell Westbrook possible. Especially on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. There was this dunk with the celebration.

Russell Westbrook being his most petty self.

And then Kevin Durant and Westbrook finally having some real words. FINALLY.

All on a Wednesday night in November.

2. Joel Embiid’s trainers that got him back to 69% conditioning

“Um ... you know each game is a little bit up. Still working on my conditioning so I say 69 percent. I’m at 69 percent.”

He’s at 81 percent now but 69 percent will always be in our hearts.

3. LeBron James using social media in the strangest ways

For all the memes he doesn’t totally understand.

For oddly plugging the Lakers and causing drama.

For his tweets sounding like an AIM Away Message.

4. The Shermyszn Instagram account

Photographer Joseph Sherman is taking the best NBA photos in the game right now and you need these in your life.

5. This little kid who dressed up as the James Harden gif for Halloween

I’m here for memes turning into Halloween costumes. We should do this more. Also, this kid is incredible.

6. Literally everything about Klay Thompson

7. Kyrie Kuzma living up to the excessive hype I gave him so my coworkers can’t drag me

I watched Kyle Kuzma in a handful of summer league games this summer and got completely invested in his success. So invested, I predicted he’ll be a Top 50 player in the NBA in 2021. And ya know what Kyle? You’re doing great.

8. This random Pacers game against the Pistons where they acted like they had just won the all the prizes in an arcade

Imagine being this happy.

9. This Jordan Clarkson/Swaggy P celebration

I don’t even totally know why this happened but I still think about it a lot.

10. Kelly Oubre’s wardrobe

Yes, Russell Westbrook is the king of fashion but have you SEEN Kelly Oubre?

11. Oh, and yes NBA Twitter

I’m thankful for y’all. I love you all every day and you make this mostly awful world a little better each day. So thank you.
