Rudy Gobert is expected to miss another month of play after his own teammate, Derrick Favors, accidentally collided with him on Friday night. Gobert sprained his PCL and has a bone bruise on his tibia, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania.
Rudy Gobert will miss 1 month with knee injury, per report
This is his second knee injury in five weeks.

Here’s the play:
This injury comes just two weeks after Gobert returned from an 11-game absence after a different bone bruise in his knee. Gobert’s had good luck in that neither knee injury was too serious, but bad luck because this keeps happening.
The Jazz need Gobert healthy to snag a playoff seed in the Western Conference, as they are strikingly worse without their best defender. Utah is outscored by 13 points per 100 possessions when he’s off the court, according to the NBA’s stats.
The emergence of rookie Donovan Mitchell has helped Utah stay in playoff contention, but at 14-15, they are just barely on the outside looking in behind Oklahoma City. Gobert’s absence only makes things more difficult.
