Carmelo Anthony’s son is the best and 9 other reasons to love the NBA this week

Get you a son that loves you like Kiyan Anthony loves Melo.

It’s that weird time between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve where no one, including myself, knows what day or even year it is. I do know that there were five straight games on Christmas Day and that the Rockets blew a 26-point lead in Boston on Thursday.

I also know that the NBA never chills, so let’s get to it.

1. Melo’s son hyping him up from the sideline

Kiyan is gassing him up literally mid-game and I am so here for it.

2. Chris Paul’s son going through pregame drills with his dad

First, I can’t believe how grown up Lil’ Chris is. Second, his handles are looking good!

3. Laura Dern and Baron Davis saving 2017

This is everything I didn’t know I needed. This tweet changed my life.

4. Trevor Ariza stealing the show in this State Farm commercial

The dynamic between Harden and Ariza in this commercial is perfect.

5. Dwyane Wade trying to be a photographer

I don’t know why these pictures make me so happy. He looks like a dad trying to use a camera for the first time ever. Actually, he is a dad and this is probably his first time so it’s all really accurate.

Here is a photo he took of Channing Frye, which is really not good at all.

6. Langston Galloway dunking to find out he’s having a baby boy

I am admittedly not a big fan of elaborate gender reveals but come on, this one is perfect. Especially when you see him immediately hug his wife Sabrina.

7. These photos of the Warriors bench

I want to have as much fun as they are having.

Make sure to check out Kevin Durant in the next photo.

8. Russ taking a bow and saying “Merry Christmas!”

He literally beat the Rockets on Christmas Day, walked to halfcourt, took a bow, and said, “Merry Christmas!” like some kind of perfect villain.

9. The Moonpie Twitter account makes NBA jokes now too

10. Nikola Mirotic and Bobby Portis becoming BFFs

Sure, winning heals all but I think they actually like each other? Portis is legitimately excited after this Niko dunk. Maybe it’s the holidays?

Either way, the NBA is the best drama on television.

My favorite James Harden photo of the week

Okay, pretend this is Hogwarts and the pictures can move.

See ya next week, friends. Tweet me your B Sides, and I’ll include them in the next round.
