2017 Basketball Hall of Fame finalists: Chris Webber, Tracy McGrady headline nominees

The finalists for the Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2017 were announced on Saturday during NBA All-Star Weekend.

After getting snubbed in the past two years, Chris Webber finally made the cut as a finalist. Alongside him is fellow first-time finalist Tracy McGrady, and Tim Hardaway, who’s now a three-time finalist for enshrinement.

The inductees for the Class of 2017 will be announced on April 3 before the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship game, and the ceremony itself will take place in September.

In all, there are 13 individuals and one group, the 1954-58 Wayland Baptist University team that won 131-consecutive games. Here’s the full list of finalists, with what they’re nominated as in parentheses:
