NBA All-Star Game 2017 live updates: Highlights from the NBA All-Star Game
The NBA’s best are on display at the All-Star Game in New Orleans.

Fourth quarter
West 192, East 182 (Final score)
Anthony Davis finished with a record breaking 52 points on the night and the MVP award of the 2017 All-Star game. He scored 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Western Conference pulled away from the Eastern Conference late in the game. He had 18 dunks on the night. Russell Westbrook also scored 41 points, including seven three-pointers.
With 5:35 left in the fourth quarter, Anthony Davis broke the scoring record for an All-Star game with 44 points. Even better that Anthony Davis is doing this at home in New Orleans. The previous record was 42 points held by Wilt Chamberlain.
The fourth quarter started with a gem from Steve Kerr. He jokingly used his time as All-Star coach to steal plays from the rest of the conference.
Third quarter
West 144, East 139 (End 3rd)
Russell Westbrook did his best to try and win his third straight All-Star MVP award in the third quarter. He hit four three pointers and has 31 points going into the fourth quarter.
Steph Curry to get a rebound but Giannis came from behind and dunked all over him again. The reactions to this from Draymond Green and DeAndre Jordan are really special.
Things also got weird in the third quarter when Stephen Curry literally laid down to avoid getting dunked on by Giannis. We know there isn’t much defense played in the All-Star game but this took it to a new level.
Second Quarter
West 97, Cavaliers 92 (End 2nd):
LeBron James, making his 13th All-Star appearance was throwing down dunks left and right but it was his pull up three-pointer that was more impressive. He was basically at half court when he let this one go.
Russell Westbrook went off the glass as well but this time to DeAndre Jordan for a massive dunk.
Paul George got the second quarter by going off the backboard to himself much like his idol Tracy McGrady would do.
First quarter
East 53, West 48 (End 1st):
The story of the first quarter was Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook officially making up. The Western Conference All-Stars were as happy as anyone to see the two smiling after they connected on a heart warming alley-oop.
Russell Westbrook was the first sub in for the West and Kevin Durant immediately threw him the alley-oop. It was a beautiful moment and it was great to see the game bring them back together.
New Orleans’ own Anthony Davis hit the first basket of the night which was extremely fitting. It was quickly followed up with Giannis Antetokounmpo actually playing defense in an All-Star game. It’s his first time in the game so may he not realize defense isn’t played much.
Pregame
LeBron James will make his 13th straight start in Sunday night’s game in New Orleans which ties Bob Cousy for the longest streak in NBA history. While James is making history for his longevity in the game, there are several new faces this year. Giannis Antetokounmpo, DeAndre Jordan, Gordon Hayward and Kemba Walker will be playing for the first time in the showcase.
Four members of the Golden State Warriors made the Western Conference team including Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Durant is also joined by former teammates Russell Westbrook and James Harden. You can read about the rest of the Western Conference team here.
The Eastern Conference All-Star team is led by James as well as Cavaliers teammates Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. Due to a knee injury, Love has been replaced by Carmelo Anthony who will be making his 10th appearance in the All-Star game. Plenty of point guards got love in the East with John Wall, Kyle Lowry, Isaiah Thomas also making the team. You can see the entire East roster here.
