James Harden won’t leave Russell Westbrook’s side before All-Star Game

Westbrook has got at least one person in his corner.

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant didn’t sit with each other during the Western Conference All-Star photoshoot before the 2017 NBA All-Star Game. Instead, Westbrook sat with James Harden, who maintains good standing with Thunder guard despite playing on separate teams.

In a video posted by RealGM, you can see Westbrook chatting with Harden while Durant stands in the far corner, toying with a basketball.

You also see Stephen Curry rocking a headband like his brother, Seth Curry.

Later during pregame warmups, Westbrook separated himself from the rest of the West All-Stars to get shots up on his own. The West features Durant, as well as three other Warriors All-Stars including Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson.

But moments later, his friend and former teammate Harden came over to shoot with him.

Westbrook and Durant haven’t gotten along ever since the former Most Valuable Player jetted from Oklahoma City to the Golden State Warriors during free agency over the summer. And their relationship hit rock bottom when Durant made his return to Oklahoma City in a Warriors jersey, leading up to the two jawing with one another and Thunder guard André Roberson butting heads with his former teammate.

But their division has brought Westbrook closer with Harden, whom Oklahoma City traded to the Houston Rockets years ago. And though Russ might not get along with the other Warriors’ All-Stars, he’s at least got one player in his corner.
