It looks like the Sacramento Kings could be serious about trading DeMarcus Cousins this time around. He’s been mentioned in trade talks for several years, but now, there seems to be some actual substance to the rumors.
DeMarcus Cousins says ‘give me a break’ as trade rumors heat up at All-Star game
The Kings are considering sending Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans.

It was reported before the All-Star game on Sunday that Sacramento was looking for trade partners for Cousins. Vlade Divac received offers from multiple teams for Cousins but already relayed to them that they had been eliminated from the selection process.
Where it gets weird is that the Kings are not looking for equal value in return for him. Given that Cousins has mentioned time and time again he’d like to stay with the Kings, it’s an interesting stance.
The rumor that has been catching the most steam is with the New Orleans Pelicans. It would include Buddy Hield and two first-round picks, and matches the report of not needing equal value.
Upon the finish of the All-Star game on Sunday night, Cousins was asked about the rumors. You could see the look in his eyes at how understandably tired he is of this conversation given how many times he’s expressed he would like to stay in Sacramento.
Cousins only played two minutes in Sunday night’s All-Star game but it appears that was his request and was not related to a possible trade.
