Celtics fans gave Paul Pierce incredible standing ovation in his last visit to Boston
Pierce is a Celtics legend and this is the sendoff he deserved.


Pierce has announced his retirement at the end of the season, so with the Los Angeles Clippers making their one trip to play the Celtics, this is almost certainly Pierce’s last game he’ll ever play in Boston. Celtics fans made sure he felt honored, after Pierce spent his first 15 seasons there and won a championship. Here’s the standing ovation they gave him.

The current Celtics knew how important a moment this was for their franchise, even if they never played with the Big Three era in Boston.
And while this may be slightly unsanitary, Pierce knew this was a special moment, too.
