Evan Turner fractures 3rd metacarpal in right hand
Turner is out indefinitely after the injury.

This is Turner’s first season with the Blazers after signing a four-year, $70 million deal this summer. Turner is averaging 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists for the season.
It’s common in the NBA for players to fracture a metacarpal. Just this season, Pau Gasol fractured his fourth metacarpal. The recovery timeline varies from player to player and usually depends on if the player needs surgery. Best case scenario for Turner will be that he doesn’t need surgery and can return this season. Players that have needed surgery have sometimes been forced to miss an entire season. Here’s a look at the injury and its recovery time.
