Ricky Rubio found his groove Monday night against the Wizards dishing out 10 assists in the first quarter. Yes, that is correct, 10 assists in the first quarter. Not only was that a record for Rubio, it also set a franchise record for the Timberwolves for most assists in a quarter.

Rubio has been playing quite well since the beginning of February. He’s averaging 8.8 assists per game for the season but in February and March is averaging 10.4 per game.
The record for most assists in a quarter sits at 14 which was set by San Antonio’s John Lucas in 1984. Steve Blake tied the record with the Trail Blazers in 2009.
Rubio finished the night with 19 assists which is a career high. Rubio’s previous high was 17, which he had reached five different times.
