Late on Sunday evening, the day before the Warriors returned to Oklahoma City, ESPN’s Chris Haynes reported that Golden State was unhappy with how Kevin Durant was treated the last time the Warriors were in OKC. It was thought by some that the Thunder contributed to the hostile environment that took place during Durant’s first return to town.
Steve Kerr denies report that Warriors were unhappy with Thunder treatment of Kevin Durant
Steve Kerr called the Thunder a “class organization.”

On Monday in OKC, Steve Kerr completely shot down the idea that the Warriors were offended by the treatment or that the Thunder did anything wrong.
“I don’t agree. Sam Presti is a friend of mine. I know Clay Bennett. It’s a class organization all the way. So I don’t really pay any attention to a story like that unless there’s an actual name put on it. I assume it’s just ‘sources.’ I don’t know who that is. It’s nobody with the Warriors. We have great respect for the Thunder. Sam’s been a friend of mine forever. They’re first class, so I don’t know where that comes from.”
The Warriors and Thunder meet for the fourth and final time on Monday night. The Warriors have won the first three meetings.
