John Stockton and Bryon Russell recreate ‘The Shot’ from 1997 Western Conference Finals

Just as good as the first time!

The Utah Jazz are honoring the 1997 team on Wednesday during their game against the Knicks. Before the game though, John Stockton and Bryon Russell got together and recreated “The Shot” that sent the Jazz to the 1997 NBA Finals. Jeans and all, Stockon still has it.

This shot holds a lot of meaning to Jazz fans as it’s the shot that finally sent them to the NBA Finals after falling short three times before. The Jazz would eventually fall short in the NBA Finals in 1997 to Michael Jordan in Bulls. They faced the same fate 1998 as well.

Here is the shot from that 1997 Western Conference Final Game 6. Stockton and Russell recreated it quite well, to be honest. Good to see Stockton still has it.

Here is Stockton remembering earlier today how it felt back in 1997 after hitting the shot:

Check out these programs from tonight as well. This will be a special celebration.
