The Phoenix Suns starting lineup is younger than most Sweet 16 teams

The Phoenix Suns had the youngest starting five in NBA history on Thursday!

The Phoenix Suns are not only starting the youngest starting five in the NBA today, they have the youngest starting five in league history. This is sure to make you feel old.

This starting five is so young that it makes Alex Len seem like a seasoned veteran. Dragan Bender is also on the roster and is also 19 years old.

Not only are they the youngest in the NBA, they’re nearly the youngest of the teams left in the NCAA Tournament. On Thursday, of the eight teams playing in March Madness, the Suns were younger than all but one team with an average of 21 years and 14 days.

The Suns have not had a great year, currently sitting second-to-last in the Western Conference. They’re 22-50 and have lost six in a row. But there have been many times this year that the young team has shown promise, so hopefully the future is bright.
