Miami Heat fans were so mad the Hawks and Nets rested their players

The Heat needed the Hawks or Nets to win to make the playoffs, and that did not happen.

The Miami Heat had a magical season. After starting the year 11-30, they made it all the way back to .500, which is something no team has ever done before. It looked like the Heat would make it to the playoffs and continue their fantastic ride, but they fell just short on Wednesday night.

On the final night of the season, the Heat would need the Hawks to beat the Pacers or the Nets to beat the Bulls. The problem is, with each of those teams having their seasons locked up, both the Hawks and Nets rested a good portion of the players. This inevitably kept the Heat out of the postseason when the night was said and done. Needless to say, Heat fans were not happy about the resting:

Like ... they were really mad.

I really don’t think it was this personal.

There were some nice fans though! Good old fashioned encouragement!

The Brooklyn Nets were not free from criticism either.

This one is the worst. It’s like when someone tells you they’re not mad at you, just disappointed.

You have to love the passion. The Miami Heat really did have a special year and it was sad to see it end in the regular season. October will be here before you know it, Heat fans.
