The Houston Rockets ran away with a victory in Game 1 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, winning 118-87. James Harden was spectacular in the opening game finishing with 37 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, and three steals. He was virtually unstoppable in his first game of the playoffs, just like he was most of the regular season. While Harden led the way, it was Patrick Beverley who provided the extra spark that the Rockets needed. Their bench overall didn’t provide much, but Beverley had a playoff-high 21 points in 26 minutes.

Game 2 of Rockets-Thunder is Wednesday on TNT.

Russell Westbrook, on the other hand, had good numbers, but after the year he had, they almost seem subpar. He finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds, unable to grab his first playoff triple-double. Many expected this to be a long series, so we’ll see if Westbrook can bring his teammates with him to tie up this series on Wednesday night.
Many look at this series as a matchup between MVP candidates in Westbrook and Harden. And while Westbrook and Harden are friends and former teammates, we learned that they have cut off all communication during the series. No texts, no talking, nothing at all. We would expect nothing less from them.
Here’s how you watch Game 2.
