The previous game played in Memphis for this Spurs-Grizzlies series five days ago turned out to be an instant classic. Can we get a repeat?

We hope so. San Antonio took a three games to two lead on Monday on the strength of Kawhi Leonard and a huge run in the final few minutes that turned a close game into a blowout. That’s what the Spurs can do, even in the post-Tim Duncan era, creating leads out of nothing and damn near running you off the court like it’s the easiest thing in the world. Still, the Grizzlies really did show something in their two wins in Memphis, and this series going seven games would surprise who, exactly?

The Grizzlies just keep seeing players step up at the right time, whether it’s a huge Aaron Harrison block or more great minutes from JaMychal Green or the ageless Vince Carter still contributing valuable minutes any time he steps on the floor. All in all, it has been a fantastic performance from Memphis, and you have to respect them not conceding to yet another fantastic Spurs team after falling down 2-0.

You could say that the Spurs didn’t ‘rook’ the Grizzlies. But now, they’ll try to not just get rooked, but maybe force a Game 7, where anything could happen.

Here’s how you can watch Game 6.
