Game 5 is known as the swing game, and the winner in a series tied at two immediately has a huge likelihood of advancing. For the Wizards and the Celtics, after Washington roared back at home to even things up, the swing game is Wednesday. It is, obviously, a big deal.
NBA playoff schedule 2017: Wizards, Celtics look for series edge in Game 5
The winner of Game 5 usually wins the series.

Washington shut down Isaiah Thomas and rolled past Boston in those two games, including an absurd 26-0 run in the third quarter of Game 4. It was an incredible showing of what the Wizards can do when they get on a roll with John Wall leading the attack and the rest of the team stepping up around him. They get Kelly Oubre back in Game 5, a small but valuable part of the bench, a unit that is probably Washington’s biggest weakness. (He had 12 points each in Games 1 and 2.)
Still, the last time Thomas was in Boston, he scored 53 points, so a trip home could do wonders for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference this regular season. Thomas complained about getting zero free throws in Game 4 and calls generally come easier at home. If he can get back on his game, the Celtics usually come to life around him, too.
Here’s the schedule and how to watch.
