This series has been nothing short of exciting. In Game 6, which was a do-or-die game for the Wizards, point guard John Wall nailed a game-winning 3-point shot with 3.5 seconds to go to give his team a victory and another trip to Boston for Game 7.

Wall took the inbound pass, dribbled, and knocked down the 3-point dagger in Avery Bradley’s face. Even though Wall connected on the big shot and finished the game with 26 points and eights assists, he struggled from the field, shooting just 36 percent.

Bradley Beal scored a game-high 33 points to help his Wizards stave off elimination. As for the Celtics, Bradley and point guard Isaiah Thomas registered 27 point apiece, and center Al Horford added an extra 20 points. However, that wasn’t enough for Boston to put an end to this captivating series.

This series has been a back-and-fourth affair. Boston won the first two games in front of its home crowd, and it looked like Washington was outmatched. But the Wizards played like a contender upon their return to the nation’s capital, winning both games to tie the series at two. In Game 5, the Celtics crushed past Washington, 123-101, behind Bradley’s 29-point performance.

After Wall’s heroic shot in Game 6, the Celtics and Wizards will collide one more time to see who will advance to the Eastern Conference Championship to face the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers.

In this series, Boston averages 125 points per game in front of its home crowd. If the Celtics want to win and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, they must continue to hit open shots and play stifling defense.

Washington averages 110 points at TD Garden in this series. It must play better defense, crash the boards better, and knock down shots. Also, Washington has to find a away to get Otto Porter and Marcin Gortat involved. Those two combined for four points in Game 6.
