The 2017 NBA draft gets underway on Thursday night, and some of basketball’s future stars will have their names called by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. Some of the biggest names that expect to have their names called from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., include UCLA’s Lonzo Ball, Duke’s Jayson Tatum, Kentucky’s Malik Monk and De’Aaron Fox, and Josh Jackson of Kansas.

SB Nation’s latest mock draft leading up to draft night has the Philadelphia 76ers, who traded with the Boston Celtics for the No. 1 overall pick, selecting guard Markelle Fultz out of Washington. The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to select Ball at No. 2, with Tatum going No. 3 to Boston rounding out the top three picks on the night.

What the New York Knicks will do on Thursday is an interesting storyline. In the 2015 NBA draft, the Knicks selected Kristaps Porzingis, but this week president Phil Jackson is reportedly making calls to teams about him. New York hopes to receive a top-four pick and a solidified starter in return. SB Nation’s mock has New York selecting point guard Frank Ntilikina out of France. We’ll see if who the Knicks pick on Thursday night gives us any indication of what Porzingis’ future holds in New York.

A number of trades have already been made before the clock starts for the Sixers. Catch up on all the draft picks trade here.
